An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and target driven Senior EventsManager to join the Commercial team of our London based Heritage client. You will deliver its commercial hire and internal events.

This Events team manages a unique offering of filming, partnerships and events in theirstunning building, including conferences, award ceremonies, dinners, drinks receptions, filming, commercial displays and weddings. Reporting directly to the Head of Events, you will assist with developing and delivering a commercial hire strategy to achieve substantial income targets whilst ensuring outstanding client services. You will have the support of your 3 direct reports.

The main duties of the Senior Events Manager role include:

Sales, Marketing and Venue Hire, working with the Head of Events on the commercial hire and events business development strategy and contribute to delivering the annual income target.
Liaise closely with the fundraising team to identify prospects.
Work with caterers and external suppliers to create event packages.
Manage site visits for clients, showcasing the venue spaces and services to maximise conversion to sales. 
Oversee protocols for product launch and civil ceremony enquiries.
Event Management including delivery of a proportion of commercial and internal Events
Oversee Event evaluation.
Lead and motivate the team, including Line Management of Managers and working with and supporting volunteers.
Contribute to regular reporting on number of new external enquiries, number of show rounds, provisional bookings and confirmed bookings. 

Skills and Experience needed for the role:

Significant experience in event management; knowledge of the heritage sector would be an advantage.
Demonstrable experience of commercial and event sales; motivated and target driven.
Demonstrable experience of achieving sales and financial targets.
Proven experience of large-scale event delivery.
Line Management.
An understanding of marketing a venue for commercial hire, including the use of social media channels.
A thorough understanding of health and safety principles in relation to event management and contractor management.
