HR Officer.

London University, Central London, Temporary – to £38K p/a pro rata

Our client, a renowned London University based in London, requires a a highly motivated HR Officer to start ASAP.

The main duties of the HR Officer role are: 

• First point of contact for employees for all HR queries

• Ensure that a high quality professional HR service is provided at all times

• Advise and support managers across the range of HR activities including: recruitment and selection, contractual changes administration, performance management, sickness absence and grievances

• Supervision of one or more HR administrative staff and will assist with routine correspondence and processes

• Plan, prioritise and organise own work and team’s work to achieve agreed objectives

• Establishing processes that anticipate any potential issues

• HR system administration and records management, including for payroll administration 

• Building relationships across the organisation

• Experienced with casework and notetaking 

Skills and experience

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role preferably with a public serviceenvironment

• Preferably CIPD Level 5 with a degree

• Operational and managerial HR and administration experience essential 

• Excellent communication skills 

• Ability to build, develop and maintain supportive and constructive working relationships 

• Highly organised, logical along with ability to handle many competing priorities 

• Acts with honesty, integrity, and discretion 

• Approachable and good listener

• Ability to remain calm under pressure
