HR Administrator.

Our client, a high profile not for profit Membership body needs a HR Administrator to start ASAP. If you love animals, this is a great opportunity for you! Our client is Central London based and this role will be hybrid working. This is a great team, very friendly and collaborative.

Responsibilities of the HR Administrator role are:

• Delivering effective administrative support to the HR Department and the wider business

• Responsible for managing the employee references and probations

• Responsible for ensuring that employment records are effectively maintained

• Contribute towards providing an effective payroll service 

• Providing administrative support in the delivery of Learning & Development

• To assist with the processing of starters and leavers, liaising with line managers, issuing

• offer letters and contracts, ensuring the completion of all necessary paperwork, sending

• out reference requests, producing starter packs, sending out leaver letters.

• Support hiring managers with all aspects of the recruitment process liaising with agencies 

• Provide a great candidate experience from initial vacancy to on-boarding

• Assist with drafting job descriptions, adverts and person specification ensuring 

• Monitoring of right to work checks ensuring these are all completed for members of staff

• Ensure all members of staff have correct legal paperwork

• Process new hire paperwork, including employment contracts & background checks

• Assist with the monthly payroll when required: inputting variable 

• Administration of our pension scheme, including facilitation of auto enrolment 

• Monthly processing of employee benefits, ensuring data is accurate

• Provide administrative support with training program creation and development

• Support the HR department and line managers with identifying training needs 

• Maintain HR database with up to data training data for employees

Person specification and skills:

• An interest in building a career in HR is desirable

• Some exposure to HR would be preferred

• Able to juggle competing deadlines, dealing with agencies and candidates

• A confident communication style, able to deal with all levels of people

• Experience in an administrative role would be ideal

• Must be able to quickly resolve people’s problems

• Familiar with database systems and common HR applications would be advantageous

• Knowledge and experience of MS Office packages 

• Excellent organizational skills
