Front Of House Assistant.

Our client, a London University, is looking for a Front of House Assistant to cover sick leave / annual leave last-minute.

The main duties of the Front of House Assistant role are:  

  • Provide a warm welcome on reception, creating a positive first impression for guests
  • Support the team in delivering excellent events and hospitality
  • Ensure all guests comply with signing in procedures
  • Provide support and information for events and visitors
  • Work collaboratively with team members ensuring logs of any issues are maintained
  • Directing visitors, alerting clients that their guests are incoming
  • Checking passes of guests on their arrival escalating issues when necessary
  • Providing help and support to students
  • Provide assistance and directions for guests and clients
  • Entry pass management, for students and contractors
  • Ensuring the reception areas are tidy and well maintained
  • Working closely with events team on delivery of hospitality
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the team

Skills and experience

  • Prefer to have some reception experience
  • Experience of multi- tasking and controlling a reception barrier whilst delivering customer service
  • Evidence of providing excellent customer service
  • Display a positive outlook with a can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of security functions across a large complex estate
  • Experience of receiving guests to events
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Able to take ownership of a problem
  • Ability to communicate verbally with people at all levels
  • Must have IT skills including email
