Finance Coordinator.

Our client, a world-renowned Museum based in London requires a Finance Coordinator to start ASAP.  This is a 1-month temp role whilst they recruit permanently. You need to be immediately available. 

The main duties of the Finance Coordinator role are:

  • Administration and maintenance of the finances of the Charity Accounts, and supporting the museum finance function with Sales Ledger
  • Pay US suppliers for goods and services invoices from the dollar accounts
  • Update records in Excel and enter invoice payments on the PSF finance system
  • Ensuring payments are made in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Liaison with suppliers to resolve any queries
  • Ensure that each bank account has sufficient funds to pay
  • Check and reconcile the daily deposits received in US dollar bank account
  • Arrange for any contributions received to be paid in a timely fashion
  • With the Management Accountant, answer queries on dollar donations etc.
  • Monitor budgets, ensuring correct procedures are followed and value for money is achieved
  • Support the Corporate Accountant with the preparation and audit of statutory accounts
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Collate, provide and distribute (where appropriate) financial and visitor information
  • Co-ordinate Corporate Finance tasks or projects when required
  • Complete financial management checks
  • Ensure an inventory is maintained and updated
  • Assist with projects

Skills and experience 

  • A-level or specialist knowledge of Finance with good standards in Mathematics and written English
  • Excellent working knowledge of a commercial accounts package. Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working independently as well as across different teams
  • Contributing to and deliver priorities using knowledge, skills, talent to the best of your ability
  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • Work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to manage and monitor budgets 
  • Good knowledge of all Microsoft packages including Excel 
  • A flexible approach to work and good team-working skills
