Digital Marketing Communications Coordinator.

Our client a world-renowned arts centre based in London requires a Digital & Marketing Communications Coordinator to join the organisation to complete a specific project across marketing and digital media in support of their collection’s acquisitions, lending, exhibitions and events. This is a two/three month temporary position and is to start ASAP. You need to be immediately available! 

The main duties of the Digital & Marketing Communications Coordinator role are:

  • Contributing to the strategic communications and digital activities, that includes press, website, e-bulletins, social media and print
  • Coordinate marketing and communications activity for the Collection, developing content
  • Work closely with the team to ensure marketing and communication is embedded across the collection programmes
  • Develop data-led e-bulletins/newsletters increasing engagement through establishing tactical use of mailing lists and email campaigns
  • Monitor, report & evaluate e-bulletins/newsletters performance, using data to develop future strategy
  • Ensure that the mailing lists are up-to-date and in line with GDPR and other data protection regulations
  • Brief and liaise with designers on the preparation of marketing collateral
  • Liaise with external partners and lenders on promotional material and events
  • Manage all image and reproduction licensing (for publications, press)
  • Manage suppliers (eg printers, photographers, and designers) to ensure delivery on time and in budget
  • Develop and deliver social media content, developing brand identity online, engaging community
  • Report on social media activity and evaluate the data to inform future activity
  • Maintain and update the website with relevant and engaging content and digital channels – in line with agreed content priorities and brand guidelines including writing, editing, and commissioning posts for online takeovers, art work texts
  • Work in close liaison with Press team in communicating vision and in building new audiences
  • Working with curators to coordinate press coverage for exhibitions and programmes
  • To support any other projects and activities and perform other duties and tasks as required by the General Manager

Skills & Experience

  • Can demonstrate an understanding or knowledge of the wider arts and cultural sector
  • Can communicate and work well with a wide range of people
  • Has Excellent English language writing skills – able to write, edit, proof-read and prepare copy.
  • Has strong attention to detail in work produced
  • Experience of developing and delivering high-quality marketing and communications content across a range of media, online and off-line
  • Able to communicate ideas and information clearly to a range of stakeholders and people on all levels, in writing and verbally
  • Thinking creatively, with a curiosity for good stories and the confidence to bring creative ideas to the table
  • Enjoys working flexibly as part of a team
  • Is well organised and able to prioritise managing a sizeable workload
  • Experience in using content management systems, CRM databases, ideally Tessitura
  • Has excellent IT skills, including Google Drive, GMail and MS Office packages;
