Credit Controller.

Our client, a prestigious creative organisation based in Central London, requires a dynamic Credit Controller for an immediate start. The role is a key hire and will cover HR, Regulation and Finance.

The main duties of the Finance Controller role are: 

  • Keeping financial systems up to date
  • Maintain payment records and debtor reports.
  • Collate sales information and prepare budget reports as required 
  • Manage overhead costs and payment records including reviews of costs and contracts.
  • Managing cash flow of multi-currency accounts
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Manage and control credit card and petty cash expenditure
  • Ensure stock records are up to date
  • Responsible for GDPR compliance
  • Liaise with HMRC requirements to include Duties and Taxes
  • Preparation of all information required by the accountants
  • Insurance – coordinate annual review and general requirements
  • To keep up to date with all legal issues 
  • Manage payroll, PAYE, and pension requirements
  • Manage holiday and sickness record
  • Prepare employment contracts and terms of employment
  • Keep Staff handbook updated
  • Supporting the wider team with adhoc duties and project work

Person Profile

The successful candidate will work in Finance in a similar environment, ideally within a creative focussed organisation. Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounts is key. An accounting qualification would be helpful. Detail-oriented and great attention to detail. Confident in your communication both written and oral. You have a good working knowledge of MS Office packages, in particular, Excel along with other bookkeeping software packages. You enjoy working in a relatively autonomous capacity.
